OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: Nominations for the posts of Director General & Dy. Director General, ICPE, Slovenia.

India is a founder member of International Center for Promotion of Enterprises (ICPE) which has its headquarters at Ljubljana in Slovenia and is engaged in research, education, training, consultancy, documentation, information dissemination to promote and support enterprise development in developing and transitional economies with a view to foster their economic development in the regional and global context.

2. The ICPE is headed by Director General and assisted by Deputy Director General in performance of executive and administrative duties. The post of Director General and Deputy Director General will fall vacant from October, 2006 as the present incumbents of these posts would be completing their tenure on 30^th September, 2006. The ICPE has invited nominations of suitable candidates from amongst those having familiarity with issues relating to public enterprises from the member countries. The ICPE has issued a job description to this effect explaining thereby the qualification requirements and the terms & conditions of the appointment of Director General for a period of 4 years and Deputy Director General for a period of 3 years extendable by one year from October, 2006 onwards. These details are given in the Annexure I & II respectively.

3. Ministries/Departments/Organizations are requested to circulate the vacancies widely and recommend suitable and willing names for both the posts. The names along with the bio-data and other relevant documents may be sent in triplicate so as to reach latest by 31^st March, 2006 to enable DPE to process the matter further. The candidates to be nominated should also be clear from vigilance angle.
